Eric is a civil trial and appellate attorney specia-lizing in real estate and business litigation. Eric has extensive experience representing
financial institutions, title companies, property owners and developers.Eric is an expert in complex title matters, secured transactions, lender-borrower disputes and land use. Eric also represents businesses and foundations in forming entities and advising on operations, including employee issues. He has substantial experience litigating disputes among owners and employment disputes,
including wrongful termination. Eric has been practicing law since 1989 and has successfully handled by way of dispositive motions, trial, and
appeal dozens of cases in a wide array of matters, including the following:
» Escrow liability actions, title insurance bad faith actions, and complex title disputes on behalf of title companies, lenders, and property owners.
» Lender liability, secured transactions disputes, complex loan enforcement proceedings, trust and estate litigation, and workouts on behalf of lenders, and contract and business tort actions on behalf of borrowers.
» Business disputes, including breach of contract actions, entity dissolution actions, internal business disputes, and general commercial
litigation on behalf of small and medium-sized business owners,partnerships, and limited liability companies.
» Real property disputes concerning boundaries, easements,encroachments, nuisances, and a wide array of other disputes between owners of real property.
» Real property contract disputes, including landlord-tenant disputes.
» Employment discrimination cases, including wrongful termination actions. In addition to his litigation practice, Eric also handles land
use matters including litigation over the California Environmental Quality Act. He has appeared numerous times before planning commissions
and City Councils to protect the rights of property owners and citizens.
In his transactional practice, Eric has helped many small and medium-sized businesses with business entity formation and counseling
concerning business and property transactions and employment matters.
